Chiharu Shiota

Chiharu Shiota is a Japanese artist based in Berlin known for installations of thread, objects, and architectural space that evoke memory, absence, migration, and the body. Working across installation, performance, drawing, sculpture, and site-responsive environments, the artist builds a visual language shaped by memory, loss, connection, displacement, bodily trace, and the emotional charge of ordinary objects.
