Futura

Futura, born Leonard Hilton McGurr in New York in 1955, is an American artist whose practice helped move graffiti into a broader contemporary art context. Emerging from the city’s subway writing culture, he developed an abstract visual language of atmospheric fields, sharp linear movement, orbital forms, and disciplined color.
