Agnes Martin
A rotating selection of available works, chosen for their momentum in today's market.
Biography
Agnes Martin was a Canadian-American artist whose paintings and drawings are known for quiet grids, pale color, and an exacting sense of line. Often associated with Minimalism while retaining a distinct spiritual and emotional register, she described her work in relation to innocence, happiness, beauty, and inward experience. Her practice reduced visual means to subtle fields of proportion, repetition, and touch, making small variations deeply consequential. Martin's work has become central to postwar abstraction and contemplative painting. For collectors, her practice offers a disciplined and rare visual language, where restraint, surface, and perception produce lasting intensity.
