Chiharu Shiota
A rotating selection of available works, chosen for their momentum in today's market.
Biography
Chiharu Shiota is a Japanese artist based in Berlin known for installations of thread, objects, and architectural space that evoke memory, absence, migration, and the body. Working across installation, performance, drawing, sculpture, and site-responsive environments, the artist builds a visual language shaped by memory, loss, connection, displacement, bodily trace, and the emotional charge of ordinary objects. Rather than relying on spectacle, the work develops through careful decisions about scale, surface, repetition, and context. For collectors, the practice offers a powerful installation practice where space and material become deeply psychological, with a body of work that can be read through both formal invention and cultural resonance.
