Three Guardians: Gatekeeping the Heat and Cold is based on Miwa Komatsu's 2021 painting of the same title, translating one of her most recognisable spiritual compositions into a limited-edition print. Three guardian beings occupy the centre of the image, embodying the artist's long-standing exploration of protection, transformation and the invisible forces that connect the natural and spiritual worlds.

Produced by Avant Arte as an edition of 50, the work combines archival pigment printing with a matte varnish seal and silkscreen shimmer layers to preserve the depth, luminosity and intricate surface qualities of the original composition.
